11th Annual Golf Classic a Success!

Posted online: August 16, 2012 via www.corr.us
The Eleventh Annual Bill Schultz Golf Classic on August 12th was a great success! Nearly 144 golfers filled the field on a very warm day at Winchester Country Club. This year’s event was very exciting as the following day marked the first day CoRR’s new Campus was open to the public.

We are very grateful for our local sponsors as well as businesses who donated raffle and auction items. Funds from the Golf Classic, presented by Sierra Foothills Construction and Tru-Line Builders, help support CoRR to make services accessible to those that need them, and specifically support our family services programs. Please acknowledge these generous sponsors by supporting their businesses as they support CoRR’s mission to restore healthy families in the Sierra Nevada.

Daniel SwartzendruberBorn in Truckee, Tru-Line Builders’ President Daniel Swartzendruber moved with his family to Grass Valley in 1998 and began working on construction jobs over summers. Home-schooled through high school, Swartzendruber spent two and a half years at Sierra college studying business while simultaneously working as a carpenter. He graduated from Chico, magnum cum laude, with a B.S. degree in business with an option in production management.

While still in school at Chico, Swarzendruber worked as a production framing contractor on larg-scale, quality tract homes. “We would work on tracts of over 100 houses,” he explains, “with 15 of them being framed at any one time.”
